Description

The Lynwood Gold Forsythia is a popular deciduous shrub known for its vibrant yellow blooms that herald the arrival of spring. Lynwood Gold Forsythia typically reaches a mature height of 6 to 8 feet and spreads out to a width of 6 to 10 feet, forming an attractive, dense, and rounded shape. It is a fairly fast grower, establishing itself and producing its striking flowers relatively quickly.

Thriving in growing zones 4 to 8, this forsythia tolerates various soil conditions, including clay and loamy soils, as long as they are well-draining. It can thrive in full sun to partial shade, although it produces the most profuse blooms with ample sunlight.

The most captivating feature is its brilliant yellow flowers, which typically appear in early spring before the leaves emerge, covering the branches densely for a striking display. Bloom time is typically late March to early April, depending on local climate.

You will get 5 fresh forsythia cuttings, about 6 inches long, fresh cut upon your order.

Rooting instructions: Fill small pots with a moist, well-draining potting mix and insert each cutting about halfway down, so a couple of buds sit above the soil line. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, and keep the pots in bright, indirect light while they root. Optionally dip the cut ends in rooting hormone first, and tent a loose clear plastic bag over the pots to hold in humidity. Expect roots in about 4 to 6 weeks, then gradually acclimate the young plants to more sun before planting them out.
