Fast Growth: These trees can grow 4 to 8 feet per year, and with the right conditions quickly reach impressive heights — ideal for shade and visual interest in a short period.
Adaptability: Adaptable to a variety of soil types, including moist or wet soils; tolerant of different moisture levels and occasional flooding.
Screening and Privacy: Dense foliage and rapid growth make effective natural screens for privacy or to block unsightly views.
Erosion Control: Robust root systems stabilize soil along riverbanks or slopes, preventing erosion.
Low Maintenance: Once established, hardy and resilient, thriving with basic care.
These cuttings will be fresh cut upon your order.
The photo shows a 2-year-old tree grown from one of our cuttings, standing next to a member of our family, so you can see what two years of growth looks like.
Rooting instructions: Fill small pots with a moist, well-draining potting mix and insert each cutting about halfway down, so a couple of buds sit above the soil line. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy, and keep the pots in bright, indirect light while they root. Optionally dip the cut ends in rooting hormone first, and tent a loose clear plastic bag over the pots to hold in humidity. Expect roots in about 4 to 6 weeks, then gradually acclimate the young plants to more sun before planting them out.
