Snowberry is a tough, adaptable native shrub prized for its landscape value. In late spring and early summer, arching stems are dotted with small pink to white bell-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds and bees. By fall, these give way to the plant’s signature feature: clusters of round, waxy white berries that cling to bare branches well into winter, providing striking cold-season interest and a food source for birds. Note: berries are ornamental and not for human consumption.

Snowberry thrives in conditions where few other shrubs will grow — deep shade, clay soils, slopes prone to erosion. It spreads by suckering to form dense colonies, making it superb for naturalizing, erosion control, woodland edges, and low-maintenance wildlife gardens. Fully cold-hardy to Zone 3. Ships well-rooted at 12+ inches tall; may be dormant or bare-root in cooler months.
